Job summary

The Timber Group in Herringswell is recruiting a Side Loader Driver to support branch operations. You will handle deliveries, assist with loading, and maintain security and tidy yards while delivering great customer service.

Training will be provided, and a valid Side Loader licence is required to perform the role. You’ll be part of a motivated team committed to reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries, highlighting anomalies and ensure secure, timely storage per health and safety guidelines.
• Serve customers promptly and efficiently at all times.
• Keep the yard tidy, stock clearly identified and flag low stock to management when needed.
• Use a Side Loader to assist with picking and loading of company vehicles.
• Act as a security-conscious team member to safeguard goods and company property.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure branch operates efficiently within policy.

As aSide Loader Driver, you would be working in one of our branches as part of a team where everyone is putting the effort in to offer brilliant customer service and to get the job done. You would report to the Yard Supervisor and the Branch Management Team.

Here’s what you can expect to do as a Side Loader Driver with The Timber Group:

• Receive and check off deliveries to the branch, highlighting any anomalies and ensuring secure, correct and timely storage of such deliveries in line with health and safety guidelines
• Ensuring that customers are served promptly and efficiently at all times.
• Ensure that the yard is kept tidy at all times, that stock is clearly identifiable and low stock levels highlighted to branch management where necessary to make sure certain products are available at all times.
• Using a Side Loader to assist with picking and loading of company vehicles.
• Actively safeguard against theft of goods or company property by being security conscious at all times.
• Work and communicate as a team member to ensure the branch operates efficiently and effectively within company policy.
