Job summary

The Timber Group in Herringswell is seeking a Loader to help safely load timber onto delivery vehicles, ensuring items are secure and ready for the road. You will work outdoors and use side loaders, following health and safety rules and PPE guidance.

You will also undertake general yard tasks, check loading notes, and communicate with drivers and supervisors to keep operations on track. A valid side loader licence and good lifting know-how are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid side loader licence and understanding of safe lifting and load securing.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Organised and able to communicate well while managing time independently.
• Experience in a timber yard or similar manual handling role is a bonus.

• Keep the loading area clean, tidy and organised.

• Follow health and safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Flag damaged goods or safety concerns immediately.

We're looking for a Loader who's all about getting things done safely and efficiently. You'll be loading and unloading timber products onto lorries, making sure everything's handled with care and accuracy. This role keeps you busy and involved in the day-to-day action - that involves planning how to load up in the best way to reduce any risks. If you're someone who takes pride in doing the job right and keeping safety front and centre, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Help out with general yard tasks like moving stock, stacking timber and keeping things neat
• Chat with drivers, yard teammates and supervisors to make sure everything's on track
• Stick to health and safety rules and wear the right PPE
• Flag any damaged goods or safety concerns straight away
