Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is seeking a SiC Process Engineer to own and advance Laser Anneal, Back Metal, and Backgrind processes. You will collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Production and Quality to develop robust manufacturing processes for SiC power devices.

The role emphasizes qualification, production ramp-up and continuous improvement, with strong focus on process control, documentation and cross-functional teamwork across manufacturing and development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or related field with 5+ years in semiconductor process engineering; or Master’s/PhD with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with SiC power-device manufacturing or wide-bandgap processes is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of wafer fabrication, process development and qualification.
• Proven ability to design experiments and interpret process/metrology/electrical data.
• Ability to own and communicate process modules and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify and optimise SiC wafer process modules, focusing on Laser Anneal, Back Metal Deposition and Backgrind.
• Provide technical ownership of processes and equipment.
• Plan and execute major process development and integration.
• Transfer new technologies from R&D into manufacturing and support ramp-up.
• Implement robust process-control strategies and SPC/OCAP.
• Prepare technical documentation and communicate findings across teams.
