Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to protect client properties and assets on site, guided by Assignment Instructions and UK law. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, incident reporting, and ongoing professional development.

The role requires an SIA licence, front-line security credentials, and the ability to renew licences ahead of expiry. SC clearance is desirable, with strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is required.
• SIA License is required.
• SC Clearance desirable.
• Must obtain a front-line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision.
• CCTV PSS SIA Licence is required.
• Complete tasks on site per Assignment Instructions (AI's) and UK law.

Responsibilities

• Comply with policies and all legal/regulatory requirements on site.
• Complete on-site tasks as defined in Assignment Instructions.
• Renew licences at least 16 weeks before expiry.
• Call emergency services and report incidents to the Communication Centre.
• Maintain accurate incident notebooks for reports.
