Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a vigilant Security Officer for Folkestone Jobcentre+. You will protect staff and visitors, maintain a visible security presence, and follow Assignment Instructions to deliver compliant service.

You will work 08:45–17:15, Monday to Friday, with 20 days annual leave plus public holidays; a front-line SIA licence is required, DS licence desirable, and you may pursue ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within the security industry.
• Valid DS SIA Licence (desirable).
• Current SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance (desirable).
• Strong team-working skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Protect the client's people, property, and assets by delivering professional security services.
• Deliver service standards that meet or exceed KPIs and SLAs.
• Maintain a visible security presence, providing reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Follow Assignment Instructions and site procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and safety standards.
• Complete mandatory training and maintain the SIA licence in good standing.
• Record incidents accurately and report promptly to the appropriate teams.
