Job summary

The Corps of Commissionaires Management Limited, now Corps Security, is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Area Relief Security Officer in Glasgow to cover holiday and sickness across client premises, with a view to fixed shifts when opportunities arise.

You will work variable hours to cover days, nights and weekends, with a commitment to training and internal promotion. Corps Security offers strong employee benefits and a supportive development culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License – essential.
• Full UK Manual Driving License – desirable.
• Confidence to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
• Able to pass vetting to BS7858 standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, with regular patrols and reporting as required.
• Brief visitors/contractors, sign in/out, and manage site entry/exit.
• Record deliveries on site and process paperwork per quality procedures.
• Ensure patrols are carried out to required standards.
• Set/unset primary and secondary alarm systems for out-of-hours security.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident records and reports.
• Review Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and safety documents; advise on improvements.
• Maintain training records via Corps Colleague Portal, keep first aid/fire marshal training up to date.
• Apply SIA skills consistently and maintain professional conduct; display licence.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
