Showsec International in Newcastle is seeking professional and reliable SIA Door Supervisors to join our city team. Work at iconic venues such as Utilita Arena Newcastle, O2 City Hall and Boiler Shop.

We offer flexible shifts that fit around your commitments, industry-leading training, clear career pathways and pension and wellbeing support. Suitable applicants must be available for evenings and weekends and hold a valid UK SIA Door Supervisor licence.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre and post event checks
• Assist with safe ingress, egress and queue management
• Manage conflicts and conduct safe, lawful ejections
• Check passes, accreditation, and tickets
• Conduct site/venue patrols
• Respond to incidents and preserve crime scenes
• Monitor spectators for distress, overcrowding or inappropriate behaviour and report to the supervisor
• Be vigilant for hazards and suspicious activity and report to the supervisor
• Assist with evacuation procedures in emergencies
• Enforce venue policies and procedures
• Apply relevant law and licencing requirements to the role
• Keep fire exits and evacuation routes clear
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed by all stakeholders

We are looking for professional and reliable SIA Door Supervisors to join our Newcastle team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at some of the city’s most iconic venues and events, including Utilita Arena Newcastle, O2 City Hall, Boiler Shop,and more.

As an SIA Door Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, clients and colleagues. You must be able to communicate with colleagues in person and viaradio in loud and busy environments, take a proactive approach to crowd safety, and deliver excellent customer service. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and sound judgement at all times.

What can Showsec offer you?

• A minimum hourly rate of £15.80 per hour (comprising a pay rate of £14.10 and indicative holiday pay of £1.70) and a maximum hourly rate of £18.44 per hour (comprising a pay rate of £16.45 and indicative holiday pay of £1.99). Holiday pay is indicative because it is accrued at 12.07% for every hour worked in accordance with your average pay rate over the previous 52 worked weeks. If you work at a different rate the pay and holiday pay will change accordingly.

What you will be doing

• Perform pre and post event checks
• Assist with safe and effective ingress, egress and queue management
• Effective management of conflict and complete safe, lawful ejections
• Checking passes, accreditation, and ticket checks
• Effective patrols of the site or venue
• Effective response to incidents, emergencies, and preservation of crime scenes
• Monitor spectators for signs of distress, overcrowding and inappropriate behaviour and report these to the on-shift supervisor
• Be vigilant, identify potential hazards and suspicious behaviour and report to the on-shift supervisor
• Assist with evacuation and invacuation procedures in the event of an emergency
• Enforce venue policies and procedures
• Understand and effectively apply relevant law and legislation to the role
• Ensure fire exits and evacuation routes are always kept clear
• Ensure health and safety guidelines and regulations are adhered to by all stakeholders including but not limited to Showsec workers, labour providers, customers, and venue staff
• Understand and execute duties commensurate with licensable activities and venue licence requirements

What we need (essential)

• Right to work in the UK
• Valid in-date SIA Door Supervisor licence

• You will be offered a variety of shifts starting at the base pay rate shown on this advert. The maximum pay rate applies to specific shifts such as club nights at specific venues. It will remain your decision as to whether you wish to accept any offer of work in line with the provision of services contract.
