Job summary

VELA Security is seeking an on-site SIA Door Supervisor in the Manchester area of the United Kingdom. You will manage entry points, check IDs, control access, and ensure venue policies are followed to keep guests safe.

duties include monitoring crowds, de-escalating conflicts, and reporting incidents in line with company procedures. Shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor license and knowledge of UK laws.
• Experience in front-line security or crowd management in venues.
• Ability to assess risks, stay calm under pressure and de-escalate conflicts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse guests.
• Good physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods.
• Willingness to obtain basic first aid training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage entry/exit points and check identification.
• Control access and ensure venue policies are followed.
• Monitor crowd behavior and de-escalate conflict.
• Respond to incidents and complete accurate reports.
• Coordinate with venue management and external agencies.
