Job summary

Henderson Foodservice in Newtownabbey is seeking a hands-on Shunter to help keep our transport and warehouse operations running smoothly. You will manoeuvre vehicles in the yard, support loading and dispatch, and perform routine vehicle checks.

This full-time role offers 38 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday from 4pm to midnight, with occasional flexibility for a 24-hour operation. A valid Cat C+E license and CPC are essential, along with a strong safety mindset and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Hold a full Cat C+E license and a valid CPC card.
• Valid in-date Driver Qualification Card (CPC) required.
• Strong awareness of health and safety in a busy transport yard.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safely manoeuvre vehicles around the yard to support loading and dispatch.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks (oil, water, fuel).
• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness.
• Support cage control and loading teams to prepare deliveries.
