Job summary

Stagecoach in Saint Helens is seeking a hands-on Shunter Fueller to fuel and oil our fleet, drive vehicles safely around the depot, and perform thorough interior and exterior cleans. This full-time role is based at Saint Helens Depot, works 37.5 hours across 5 days in 7 with 6pm–2am shifts, at £13.95 per hour.

You will join a supportive team helping to maintain a modern fleet, including low-emission and electric vehicles. Full training is provided and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Fueling and oiling our fleet of buses and coaches.
• Driving (shunting) vehicles safely around the depot and parking them correctly.
• Cleaning the interior and exterior of our vehicles, including deep cleans and under-chassis washes using approved equipment.
• Keeping our premises tidy and hygienic, including washrooms.
• Carrying out vehicle changeovers, breakdown support, and collecting/delivering vehicles or parts when needed.
• Logging fuel and oil usage and completing daily checks on equipment.
• Supporting your team and contributing to a safe, efficient depot operation.

At Stagecoach, our Shunter Fuellers play a vital behind‑the‑scenes role in keeping our buses clean, safe, and ready to hit the road. You'll be an essential part of a supportive team helping to maintain a modern fleet as our depots continue to evolve, with low‑emission and electric vehicles.
