Job summary

Stagecoach Thanet Depot is hiring a Shunter/Cleaner to keep buses clean, safe and ready for service. The role involves shunting, refuelling, basic maintenance tasks, and assisting with depot operations at Ramsgate, Kent.

You will join a supportive team, receive full training on safety, equipment use and cleaning standards, with pension, holiday and travel benefits. A UK driving license is required and a positive attitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Fuelling and oiling our fleet of buses and coaches.
• Driving (shunting) vehicles safely around the depot and parking them correctly.
• Cleaning the interior and exterior of our vehicles, including deep cleans and under-chassis washes using approved equipment.
• Keeping our premises tidy and hygienic, including washrooms.
• Carrying out vehicle changeovers, breakdown support, and collecting/delivering vehicles or parts when needed.
• Logging fuel and oil usage and completing daily checks on equipment.
• Supporting your team and contributing to a safe, efficient depot operation.

Shunter / Cleaner Based At our Thanet depot Located at Westwood Garage, Margate Road, Ramsgate, Kent CT12 6SL Pay rate of £13.35 per hour Shift pattern: 39 hours a week on a rota.

You’ll be an essential part of a supportive team helping to maintain a modern fleet as our depots continue to evolve, with low‑emission and electric vehicles.
