GXO Logistics, Inc. at Crick is seeking an experienced Shunter to help keep our yard operations running smoothly. You will safely maneuver trailers, position them for loading and unloading, and perform daily vehicle checks in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time, permanent role from Monday to Friday, 13:00 to 22:00, with a salary of £47,042.99 plus holiday pay, pension and employee support services. Training is provided for Terberg vehicle operation and safety procedures.

Qualifikationen

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence required.
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph cards.
• No more than six penalty points on licence.
• Terberg vehicle experience desirable; full training provided.

Aufgaben

• Safely manoeuvre trailers and vehicles around the yard, using a shunter vehicle, ensuring smooth and efficient site operations.
• Position trailers onto bays in readiness for loading and unloading, maintaining yard organisation at all times.
• Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects, damage, or wear and tear promptly.
• Work closely with warehouse, transport, and site teams to ensure health & safety procedures and operational requirements are consistently met.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Safely manoeuvre trailers and vehicles around the yard, using a shunter vehicle, ensuring smooth and efficient site operations
• Position trailers onto bays in readiness for loading and unloading, maintaining yard organisation at all times
• Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects, damage, or wear and tear promptly
• Work closely with warehouse, transport, and site teams to ensure health & safety procedures and operational requirements are consistently met

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph cards
• No more than six penalty points on your licence (no TT, DD, DR, DG, BA, AC, LC or CD endorsements)
• Previous experience operating Terberg vehicle is desirable, but full training can be provided
