School-Home Support is seeking a Family Support Practitioner to work on-site at a Blackpool school, delivering casework to promote educational outcomes and to improve attendance and learning engagement.

You will build strong relationships with school staff, parents and children, drawing on safeguarding knowledge and experience in education settings. The role is permanent, term-time only plus inset days, 2.5 days per week.

Qualifikationen

• Excellent communication with parents, carers, children and staff.
• Understanding safeguarding processes and referral routes.

Location: Blackpool

Salary: £10,847- £11,616 per annum ( This role is term-time only, the salary is in line with working weeks)

Hours: 2.5 days per week, Term Time Only + inset days

We are looking for a Family Support Practitioner to join our team and to make a difference in children's lives every single day. As the Family Support Practitioner, you will be based at the setting and work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and their families we support. You will also focus your support to help improve attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning.

You will have excellent relationship-building and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with a wide group of people.

You’ll have previous experience of:

• working in an education setting or similar to improve a child's school attendance and engagement in learning
• working and engaging with parents/carers, children or individuals through individual and/or group-based support
• factors affecting a child's capacity to learn
• working with families from diverse communities
• holistic family support
• safeguarding processes and referral routes for safeguarding children
