Job summary

NW Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting for a Showroom Sales Executive in Clayton-Le-Moors. You will support the day-to-day showroom operations, deliver excellent customer service, and maximise sales of mattresses, beds and related furnishings.

The role combines showroom leadership, product selling, customer support and basic inventory tasks. You will build strong product knowledge, assist customers in selecting suitable products, and drive sales through proactive selling while handling

Qualifications

• Experience in furniture showroom retail, preferably bedroom furniture.
• Strong sales ability with a customer-first approach.
• Sound product knowledge across mattresses, beds and related furnishings.
• Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.
• Well organised, reliable and able to work independently, including weekends.
• Experience using POS systems and handling orders.

Responsibilities

• Support the showroom Manager/Director with daily operations.
• Deliver high quality customer service and consultative sales to retail customers.
• Build product knowledge across mattresses, beds and bedroom furniture.
• Assist customers in selecting suitable products based on comfort, style and budget.
• Drive sales through proactive selling, upselling and cross-selling.
• Handle enquiries in person, by phone and by email.
• Process orders accurately and follow through to completion.
• Maintain showroom presentation, merchandising and display standards.
• Support stock awareness and basic inventory control.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally.
• Assist with opening/closing duties, cash handling and keyholder duties where required.
• Work with the team to meet sales targets and service standards.

Showroom Sales Executive

• Location: Clayton-Le-Moors
• Hours: 09 00, 5 days out of 7, including some weekends
• Reports to: Showroom Manager / Directors
• Hourly pay: £14.50 £16.50 per hour (depending on experience)

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are working exclusively in partnership with a well established and successful manufacturer and supplier of home and bedroom products in the Accrington area. As part of a multi-site business with additional warehousing support, this position offers the opportunity to contribute beyond the showroom.

This is a secure long-term permanent role paid via NW Recruitment Services Ltd for the initial 12-week which acts as the probationary period as agreed with the employer. Interviews are to be held with employer before an offer of employment will be made.

Role purpose:

The role combines showroom leadership, product selling, customer support, and operational responsibility.

Person specification:

• Previous experience in furniture retail, bedroom retail, or a similar showroom environment.
• Strong sales ability with a customer-first approach.
• Good working knowledge of mattresses, beds, and bedroom furnishings.
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working weekends and a flexible 5-day rota.
• Experience with POS systems, order processing, and basic administration desirable.
