Job summary

Porcelanosa in Croydon is seeking a Showroom Trade Consultant to deliver excellent sales performance while providing outstanding customer service. This role focuses on selling Bathrooms, Kitchens and other Group products, promoting the Porcelanosa brand in-store.

You will be responsible for maintaining product knowledge, meeting sales targets and building strong relationships with developers, builders and clients in the local market.

Qualifications

• Excellent management and people skills.
• Smart appearance and clear communication.
• Face-to-face customer sales experience in a similar environment.
• At least 1 year’s experience in a similar role.
• Kitchen, bathroom or tiles product knowledge preferred but not essential.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the customer base is updated and aware of enquiry points and methods of operation.
• Familiarise yourself with Porcelanosa brand and image across the client’s business.
• Be conversant with the full range and specifications to provide suitable procurement solutions.
• Maintain regular contact with developers, builders, contractors to provide up-to-date specs and prices.
• Develop and encourage customers to purchase Porcelanosa products over competitors.
• Introduce new products and services in line with business strategy.
• Liaise with staff to meet customer expectations and service levels.
• Be aware of market trends and competitor activity.
• Maintain clear reporting of business activities and timely communications.
• Aim to exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
• Deliver store sales in line with targets.
• Actively sell and promote products at all times.
• Excel at growing the brand in the store's local market.

Job description

Working as part of the Croydon showroom team, the Showroom Trade Consultant will deliver an excellent sales performance through providing the customer with exceptional service. They help deliver and grow the company’s brand at all levels. They deliver all set company procedures in line with the Operations Manual, and always promote and assist the company in achieving its goals and strategy. This Sales Consultant will be selling Bathrooms, Kitchens & other Group products.

Key responsibilities

• To ensure the customer base is updated and aware of all enquiry points, contact names, and methods of operation to meet their requirements.
• To ensure you are familiar with all personnel working within the client’s business, and that they are familiar with the Porcelanosa brand and image.
• To be fully conversant with the complete range and technical specifications of our products in order to facilitate suitable procurement solutions to meet the customer’s needs.
• Ensure all local bespoke developers, small bespoke builders, contractors and project management companies receive regular contact with you or other appropriate members of Porcelanosa to ensure they are provided with up to date specifications and prices lists.
• To develop and encourage existing and perspective customers to purchase Porcelanosa products in preference to our competitors based on our product quality, unique solutions and service.
• To introduce all new products and services offered by Porcelanosa in line with the current business strategy.
• To liaise with all levels of staff within the Company to ensure Customer expectations and service levels are achieved.
• To be aware of market trends as well as competitors’ activities, product ranges, strengths and weaknesses.
• To maintain clear and accurate reporting procedures regarding all business activities and ensure all communications are submitted in a timely fashion.
• Ambitious to accomplish set sales targets, aiming to exceed both the monthly and annual sales target.

Personal Attributes

• Excellent Management and People Skills
• Smart personal appearance
• Clear and positive communicator with good negotiation and influencing skills
• Relevant experience with face to face customer sales in a similar environment or possesses the underlying traits to fulfil this role
• At least 1 year’s experience within a similar role
• Preferably someone with a Kitchen, Bathroom or Tiles background so they have an understanding of the products, however isn’t essential

Education and Qualifications

• A good level of verbal, written and numerical literacy
• Valid Driving Licence
