Job summary

Meritus are recruiting for a Short Term Planner to join our client within the aerospace and defence sector on a 12-month contract from their site in Brize Norton.

This position operates on a 4 on / 4 off days-only shift pattern, requiring SC Clearance and Sole British National, to support maintenance planning for aircraft availability and operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience working within the airline or aviation industry.
• CAMO experience
• Experience producing and maintaining short-term maintenance plans
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning processes
• Experience working alongside engineering, configuration and material support teams
• Ability to coordinate multiple maintenance activities and priorities simultaneously
• Experience attending operational planning meetings and providing planning updates
• Experience maintaining planning data and documentation within maintenance systems
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements

Responsibilities

• Develop short-term maintenance plans aligned with operational requirements.

SHORT TERM PLANNER - INSIDE IR35 - UP TO £36 PER HOUR - BRIZE NORTON - 12 MONTHS - SC CLEARED (UNDERGO) - CAMO EXPERIENCE - VIRTUAL INTERVIEW PROCESS - SECTOR: AEROSPACE & DEFENCE

This position operates on a 4 on / 4 off days-only shift pattern. Successful candidates will initially align with the existing planning team for training purposes before moving onto a staggered pattern to ensure operational coverage.

As a Short Term Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring maintenance activities are effectively planned and coordinated to support aircraft availability and operational requirements. Working with multiple technical and operational stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing short-term maintenance plans, coordinating maintenance requirements and ensuring maintenance activities are integrated into wider operational programmes.

You will liaise with planning, engineering, configuration and material support teams to ensure maintenance and modification activities are delivered efficiently. The role will also involve maintaining planning data, attending daily operational meetings and contributing towards continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
