The ideal candidate holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification, has strong maths knowledge, and can manage classes effectively while providing clear explanations and constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
• Experience teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4.
• Confident delivering GCSE Mathematics content.
• Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management.
• Able to explain mathematical concepts to pupils of varying abilities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Reliable, adaptable and professional.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4.
• Deliver lessons covering number, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability.
• Support pupils in developing mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Explain concepts clearly and accurately.
• Prepare pupils for GCSE Mathematics assessments.
• Adapt teaching to meet different learning needs and abilities.
• Assess pupil understanding and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and routines.
• Collaborate with Mathematics department colleagues.
• Follow school safeguarding policies.
