Job summary

Age UK is seeking a Shop Supervisor to support our high street charity stores and help deliver a great customer shopping experience. You will assist in running the shop, handle cash, organise displays, manage stock rotation and deputise for the Shop Manager when required.

The role requires lifting bags of stock up to 10kg, a flexible approach for additional days, and willingness to work weekends on a rota basis to ensure a smooth operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in working in a customer facing role.
• Experience of cash handling.
• Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10kg.
• Ability to work as part of an effective team.
• Be able to lone work when needed.
• Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, and equal opportunities.
• Flexible approach to cover holidays and events.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent retail service and maximise shop sales.
• Assist with stock rotation, displays and tidying.
• Support day to day running of the shop and deputise for the Shop Manager.
