Are you a positive and dedicated individual eager to contribute meaningfully to your community? DEBRA in Stirling is looking for a compassionate and energetic Shop Sales Assistant to join our friendly team!

This permanent, part-time role (14 hours per week, spread across 2 days out of 7) at our Stirling shop (FK8 2EE) offers a unique opportunity to directly impact a wonderful cause.

  • Location: DEBRA Shop, Stirling
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: Part-time, 14 hours per week, 2 days out of 7
  • Pay: £12.21 per hour
  • Salary: £8,888.88 per annum

What You Will Be Doing:

As our Shop Sales Assistant, you will be the heart of our shop's daily success. Your responsibilities will involve:

  • Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Handling transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintaining appealing and organized shop floor displays.
  • Carefully sorting through donated items, recognizing their potential to support our cause, and pricing them with consideration for their value.
  • Engaging with donors with empathy and gratitude, encouraging further contributions and Gift Aid sign-ups.
  • Collaborating effectively with our dedicated team of volunteers.
  • Providing support to the Shop Manager in various aspects of shop operations.
  • Regularly lifting and moving donated items of various sizes and weights, ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the shop.

Who We are Looking For:

  • Retail experience in a busy store environment.
  • A strong team player with a collaborative spirit.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work some Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays.
  • Demonstrated ability to frequently lift and move donated items of varying sizes and weights safely and efficiently.
