Job summary

Age UK is seeking a Shop Manager in Werrington, Peterborough to lead daily store operations, maximise sales and deliver excellent customer service while supporting fundraising efforts for Age UK’s services.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, providing training and development, and ensure a positive, inclusive team environment. The role requires 35 hours per week across a 7-day rota, including weekends.

Job description

Age UK is recruiting! We have an amazing opportunity for aShop Manager to join our friendly and supportive team in Werrington.

Utilising your previous retail experience and excellent managerial skills, you will manage the day to day running of our store - maximising store sales and profits while ensuring our customers receive an excellent service. In doing so, you will be helping to raise funds for Age UK and the incredible services and support they provide to older people.

Asan Age UK Shop Manager, you will manage our brilliant team of staff and volunteers, providing effective leadership, training, and development.

If you are a motivated manager with a passion for retail and would like to use your skills to support a charity that helps thousands of older people across the UK, this could be the role for you!

Please note this opportunity will require the successful candidate to work 35hours across a 7-day working week, including Saturdays and Sundays on a rota basis.

Any other details

On occasion there may be a requirement for a flexible approach, working additional days to cover holidays and sickness or to participate in trading outside of normal shop hours e.g. shop events.
