Job summary

Age UK Ripon is seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead our local charity shop team and deliver excellent customer service, driving sales and smooth daily operation in the Shop Manager's absence.

You will work 20 hours a week, including Sundays, oversee stock, displays and tidying, support volunteers, and represent Age UK with professionalism and compassion in the community.

Age UK’s shops are the face of the charity. On high streets up and down the country our retail teams deliver a great shopping experience to customers while generating much needed income for the charity, ensuring that we can provide services and support to older people who need it most.

We are recruiting for aShop Supervisorwho will deliver an excellent retail service, ensuring that every customer has a great shopping experience. As a valued member of the Age UK team,you will contribute towards maximising shop sales and profits as well as the successful day to day running of the shop, deputising for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in their absence.

The successful applicant will be required to work 20hoursper week including every Sunday. Each Sunday you will be responsible for the management of the store, ensuring it showcases our wonderful donations and taking pride in maintaining a tidy and accessible space for all.

You will support with sales, stock rotation, organising displays, store tidying and much more, whilst representing Age UK in a professional manner and reflecting our core values.

Please note this opportunity will require the successful candidate to work 20hours across a 7-day working week, including Saturdays on a rota basis.

To ensure the smooth running of our shops, we will be conducting interviews throughout the advertising process. Early applications are advised.

On occasion there may be a requirement for a flexible approach, working additional days to cover holidays and sickness or to participate in trading outside of normal shop hours e.g. shop events.
