Greggs plc in Crawley is seeking a Shop Manager to lead and motivate the team, delivering fast and friendly service across in-store, delivery, Click + Collect and drive-thru channels.

You will recruit, train and develop colleagues, monitor performance, and ensure a clean, well-stocked and welcoming shop while maintaining high standards. You will be hands-on in food preparation and customer service, fostering an inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Track record as a Supervisor or Line Manager in retail or food-on-the-go.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service in fast-paced environments.
• Experience developing a team and supporting an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver outstanding results and maintain high shop standards.
• Recruit, train and develop colleagues to drive engagement and performance.
• Monitor wage controls and waste controls, and uphold customer service standards.
• Hands-on involvement in food preparation and serving customers.
• Ensure the shop is clean, well-stocked and welcoming to customers.

Job description

Join us as a Shop Manager and you'll lead and motivate your team to deliver fast and friendly service to our customers. We serve our customers across a number of different channels; in-shop, delivery, Click + Collect and drive thru. You'll be responsible for making sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.

While no two days will be the same, during a typical day at work you can expect to:

• Lead the team to deliver amazing results and maintain the excellent standards of the shop
• Drive high performance through recruitment, training and development, and colleague engagement
• Keep a close eye on things like wage controls, waste controls and customer service standards
• Roll your sleeves up and get involved in food preparation and serving customers
• Ensure the shop is clean, well-stocked and welcoming

About you

If you have a track record as a Supervisor or Line Manager, have lots of experience delivering excellent customer service and have worked in a food-on-the-go environment or within retail, this could be the role for you. You'll also be supportive of an inclusive culture - recognising and valuing that difference is good.
