Job summary

Manpower is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for a busy Nottingham manufacturing team. The role involves inspecting fabricated components to meet drawings, tolerances and customer specifications.

It is a hands-on shop-floor position requiring attention to detail and practical QA within an engineering environment. The successful candidate will prepare and check jobs for despatch, ensuring paperwork and quality requirements are correct before goods leave site.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Experience using inspection/measuring equipment.
• Strong understanding of tolerances and dimensional inspection.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication to raise quality concerns.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection of manufactured and fabricated components.
• Check parts against engineering drawings, tolerances and customer specifications.
• Use measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, height gauges and other inspection tools.
• Complete first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Identify and report non-conforming products.
• Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Complete relevant inspection and quality documentation.
• Ensure measuring equipment is used correctly and maintained appropriately.
• Final inspection of completed components prior to dispatch.
