Within the Shipping group, our client is expanding its market-leading Sustainable Maritime Legal Transport practice, focusing on decarbonisation, low carbon and net-zero emission fuels, and sustainable (ESG) practices. The team seeks to hire an Associate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
The team specializes in international maritime environmental compliance and regulatory issues, including MARPOL (air pollution, energy efficiency, low carbon fuels), sustainability, decarbonisation, emissions trading, and renewable energy. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team delivering solutions across the evolving maritime industry.
This position primarily involves working within the Sustainable Maritime Legal Transport practice within the London Shipping group. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in maritime and transport law, advising on physical transport contracts and related disputes. Responsibilities include advising clients across the entire physical transport chain in the green maritime space, focusing on maritime (air pollution) regulations, environmental compliance, decarbonisation, ESG, and sustainable maritime fuels and technologies. Experience or interest in this specialization is preferred. The role may also include supporting cases involving commercial shipping litigation.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
