Job summary

JLL in Bournemouth, Dorset is seeking a Shift Technician to join our award-winning team. You will implement Planned Preventative Maintenance, reactive tasks and small projects across electrical, fire life safety and mechanical building services, ensuring uptime and safety.

You will coordinate with on-site staff and visiting specialists, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with HASAWA and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical apprenticeship completed.
• Experience with building critical assets (UPS, gensets, AC).
• HSE accredited training.
• Experience with electrical/mechanical building assets and systems.
• Experience with building BMS controls.
• Proven track record in similar role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Pro-active attitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical, fire life safety and mechanical building services.
• Coordinate with admin staff to close tasks on time.
• Report engineering activity and incidents to shift leader.
• Ensure PPM tasks meet SLA and regulatory standards.
• Adhere to HASAWA and site standards.
• Maintain QA records and documentation.
• Respond promptly to reactive issues and help desk requests.
• Coordinate sub-contractors and review reports with shift leader.
• Liaise with building users and respond to requests.
