Job summary

We’re looking for a Shift Technician to join our Production Team at Wrexham. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of both front-end and back-end production equipment, including body-makers, trimmers, conveyors, presses, coaters, decorators, LSMs, Belvac, Neckers and light testers.

You will perform regular quality checks, neck diameter changes and take part in overhauls and project work as required.

Qualifications

• A time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Previous experience in a similar role within a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A flexible, action‑orientated approach with a genuine desire to achieve results
• Willingness, with appropriate training, to support other areas of the business when required
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Outlook)

Job description

This includes running and maintaining critical plant machinery such as body-makers, trimmers, conveyors, presses, coaters, decorators, LSMs, Belvac, Neckers and light testers.

You will perform regular quality checks, carrying out neck diameter changes and take part in overhauls and project work as required. Additionally you will support the maintenance of all plant services.

Salary & Benefits

• Up to £59,000 per annum
