Job summary

Ardagh Glass Ltd. in Wrexham is seeking a Quality Auditor to join the Production Team. You will perform quality inspections, testing, and ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and traceability requirements across the manufacturing process.

The successful candidate will have experience in a QA/Control/Auditor role within FMCG and be fluent in English. Proficiency with MS Office and experience with SAP/APRISO/InfinityQS/Minitab is desirable.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Packages.
• Experience of using SAP, APRISO, InfinityQS, Minitab is desirable.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A flexible, action‑orientated approach with a genuine desire to achieve results.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections and product testing, ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and traceability requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot quality analytical equipment and gauges to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
• Lead investigations into quality and manufacturing issues using root cause analysis, supporting the reduction of customer complaints, non-conforming products, and spoilage.
• Analyse quality data, produce statistical reports, and provide insights and recommendations to support operational performance and continuous improvement.
• Support production activities including new decoration proofing, plate making, and the reporting of non-conforming raw materials.
• Review and improve working practices, participate in Continuous Improvement and 6S initiatives, and develop SOPs and training materials where required.
• Conduct internal inspections, workplace audits, and training activities to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and third-party audit requirements.

We are recruiting for a Quality Auditor to join our Production Team in Wrexham. Working as part of the Shift Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product across our manufacturing operation, whilst looking for opportunities to improve robustness and simplify a range of processes and testing. We're looking for an individal with proven experience in a Quality Assurance/Control/Auditor role within the FMCG sector. The successful candidate will be confident working in a fast paced manunfacturing environment and committed to driving qualtiy, compliance and continious improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Hours of Work:

• 12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern (2 days / 2 nights) with x 5 18 day breaks incorporated into rota

Salary & Benefits:

• Up to £51,674.20 per annum
