Job summary

Wenzel’s the Bakers is seeking a Shop Supervisor for our network of outlets in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on supervising daily shop operations, preparing fresh products, and delivering excellent customer service in line with company standards.

The successful candidate will assist the Shop Manager, lead a small team, manage deliveries and stock, and help drive sales while maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
• Experience in food production is advantageous but not essential as full ongoing training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
• Receive and check daily deliveries.
• Manage branch stock and produce.
• Maintain shop displays.
• Have excellent knowledge and understanding of products.
• Prepare food in line with specifications.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
• Work efficiently within a team.
• Handle cash and operate till.
• Open or close the shop as required.
• Run shifts at various times during the week.
• Drive sales and minimise wastage.
