Job summary

Beaulieu House, part of Isle of Wight Council, is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, support colleagues and ensure high-quality, person-centred care for children and young people with disabilities and complex needs at Newport.

The role offers professional development, including the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, with opportunities for progression and enhanced pay for evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in health, social care, education or residential childcare.
• Willingness to develop leadership skills and progress within Isle of Wight Council.
• Ability to inspire and motivate others while maintaining high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and provide guidance and support to the staff team.
• Promote a safe, nurturing and positive environment for young people.
• Support daily routines, personal care, medical needs and social activities.
• Lead and oversee medication administration.
• Supervise staff through coaching and role modelling best practice.
• Plan, organise and facilitate engaging activities tailored to individual needs.
• Act as a Key Worker contributing to care planning, reviews and multi-agency meetings.
