Isle of Wight Council is hiring a Support Worker for Beaulieu House, Newport, Isle of Wight. The role focuses on supporting children and young people with disabilities in a home-like setting and short breaks service.

You will help residents with daily routines, personal care, and activities, while promoting independence and life skills in a caring, nurturing environment. A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent is required.

Competenze

• Level 3 qualification or higher relevant to the sector (e.g. Health & Social Care, Residential Care, or working with young people).
• Passion for supporting young people and willingness to engage in activities with residents.
• Commitment to training and ongoing professional development.

• Support young people with daily routines, personal care, medical needs, and accessing activities
• Encourage independence and the development of life skills
• Act as a Key Worker, contributing to care plans, reviews, and meetings
• Complete daily recordings and documentation
• Support young people through behaviours that challenge
