Job summary

GOALS Bristol is looking for a Shift Supervisor. This role is primarily a Team Member position, with additional Shift Supervisor responsibilities when management cover is required.

You will deliver a high standard of customer service across reception and bar, manage bookings and payments, handle face-to-face and telephone sales, operate tills, and support promotions. Shifts include evenings and weekends, and applicants must be 18+ due to licensing. This is not a full-time supervisory role.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational and administration skills.
• Computer literate, including basic Word and Excel.
• Experience of cash handling and customer transactions.
• Ability to lead by example when acting in a senior capacity.

Responsibilities

• Providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house service.
• Managing bookings, enquiries, and payments accurately.
• Handling face-to-face and telephone sales.
• Operating tills and booking systems confidently.
• Working efficiently in a busy bar environment.
• Delivering high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Building rapport with customers to encourage repeat visits and increased spend.
• Handling cash and card transactions responsibly.
• Supporting promotions and Club initiatives.
• When management cover is required, act as the senior person on duty.
• Ensure service, safety, and operational standards are maintained.
• Supervise and support Team Members on shift.
• Deal with escalated customer issues appropriately.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures when required.
• Complete basic administrative and cash-handling tasks.
• Communicate effectively with the Management Team regarding any issues arising during the shift.
