Farnell is recruiting a Shift Supervisor to join the distribution team on a full-time, permanent basis. Responsibilities
  • Manage activities including packing, shipping, receiving, order fulfilment, stock handling, storing, distribution and inventory.
  • Support, coach and manage Production Operatives; build relationships and engage with the team to maintain a positive working environment.
  • Learn quickly in a new facility, handle process and system queries, be open to a challenge, support team members, and contribute to onboarding new employees and day-to-day employee relations within your area.
  • Work to provide a high quality, cost effective, and efficient service to meet current and future customer demands in the electronics industry.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Experience supporting, coaching and managing Production Operatives.
  • Previous experience in a Distribution or Warehouse facility is essential.
  • A people person with strong relationship-building and team management skills (large or small teams).
  • Ability to engage with the team and drive a positive work environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills; analytical approach; continuous improvement/lean methodology or change management mindset; commercially minded.
