Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in the United Kingdom is seeking a proactive shift supervisor to lead a manufacturing team on a rotating 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm shift pattern. You will drive performance, coach colleagues, and uphold safety, quality and continuous improvement across the shift.

You will build strong relationships, set priorities, and ensure the shift is well organised and resourced. The role offers opportunities for development within a values‑driven, inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support colleagues on shift, ensuring a respectful environment.

• Coach and develop colleagues, enabling training and cross-skilling.
• Support attendance, performance and conduct in a fair and consistent way.
• Champion health, safety and wellbeing, ensuring safe ways of working are followed and concerns are addressed.
• Support delivery of production, quality and service targets.
• Identify and resolve issues quickly, escalating where appropriate.
• Encourage colleagues to share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Promote a right-first-time approach to quality and compliance.
• Communicate clearly across the shift and provide effective handovers.
• Deputise for the Shift Manager when required.

What you'll bring
