Job summary

NuStaff Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join a busy manufacturing site in Cwmfelinfach. You will be the quality lead on shift, ensuring production compliance and protecting the quality reputation of the business.

Shifts rotate: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Immediate start, £14.24 per hour. You will investigate quality problems, run containment, and support audits to maintain product quality and process excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quality Technician or in a similar manufacturing quality role.
• Proficient with hand gauges, fixtures, and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read 2D drawings and CMM reports, and produce measurement reports.
• Familiar with SPC, PPAP, and document control.
• Experience with SAP and 5S in office, gauge room and lab.

Responsibilities

• Investigate quality problems on shift and contain quickly with minimal disruption.
• Carry out product and process audits and quality checks, including first off and last off.
• Check process adherence against the Control Plan and FMEA; escalate deviations.
• Manage the Quality Gate and quarantine area.
• Audit stock accuracy on SAP.
• Support measurement system analysis, calibration, documentation and record control.
• Support new product introductions and maintain 5S standards in the office, gauge room and laboratory.
