Job summary

Diageo Belfast Marshalls Road is recruiting a Shift Quality Assurance Technician to support quality, food safety and continuous improvement on shift. You will analyse QA/production results, monitor instrumentation, and ensure site Quality Management Systems are properly implemented to meet statutory and market specifications.

The role requires a continental shift pattern, practical experience in bottling/ canning or food production, and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Food Technology or related area.
• GCSE A-level in a science subject with at least 2 years in bottling/food production and QA principles.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in bottling/canning or food production with knowledge of QA principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sampling plans and QA checks are completed as required for both production lines and other locations.
• Provide clear information and analytical support to Team Lead and Shift Manager.
• Ensure effective implementation of Site’s Quality Management Systems.
• Validation and Troubleshooting of quality instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Provide analytical support to initiate problem solving with shift teams, identifying root causes for continuous improvement.
