A leading global manufacturer of fastener systems is seeking a Shift Production Manager to join their busy team.

Working in a state-of-the-art factory, with future investment planned on automation projects, you will be responsible for ensuring your shift runs smoothly, maintaining a high output whilst ensuring quality and safety levels are met.

Reporting into the Manufacturing Manager, your duties as Shift Production Manager will include -

• Taking ownership for rolling out operational strategies, driving improvements through the business and identifying operational opportunities that will enhance production
• Supporting Team Leaders to execute efficient production plans, whilst monitoring KPIs and performance in the department.
• Management of a team of around 20-25 staff, taking responsibility for training, development, performance management and appraisals.
• Taking a proactive approach with regards to H&S in the working area, ensuring your team takes pride in their role and in their working environment, and that that legal requirements and company policies are adhered to.

To be successful in the role of Shift Production Manager, the ideal candidate will -

• Have supervision / management experience within a manufacturing environment utilising lean manufacturing principles to drive performance improvements.
• Have strong people and performance management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues.
• Have a proven ability to lead and motivate a team to succeed through coaching and development of skills, knowledge and attitude, and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction.
• Have a flexible approach, with resilience and adaptability to change.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills (data driven) and able to establish logical, practical solutions.
