Job summary

Science In Sport Group is seeking a Production Shift Manager to oversee and optimise production operations at the Blackburn head office. You will lead a team to meet quality, efficiency, and cost targets, working with Health & Safety, Engineering, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain teams.

The role emphasizes safety culture, process improvement, and strong leadership to deliver weekly production plans while controlling labour and costs.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safety-first culture, where health and safety procedures are followed, hazards are reported, and safety observations are encouraged.
• Lead by example in safe working practices, ensuring risk assessments and procedures are adhered to and incident investigations are completed thoroughly.
• Ensure production targets are met within BOM rates and standard costs, optimise labour allocation and reduce changeover times.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and increase overall productivity, while maintaining high quality standards.
