E.ON is hiring a permanent Site Operations Technician for the Kemsley Mill CHP Plant in Kent. You will work a 12-hour shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 6 off). You’ll help keep the plant safe, compliant and efficient while meeting contractual needs and customer requirements.

You’ll deliver maintenance, diagnose faults, and support the maintenance team on technical projects. A strong safety mindset and knowledge of power plant operations are essential.

Qualificações

• Substantial practical experience in process/electrical/C&I/mechanical within a process environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices, environmental policy and statutory requirements.
• IOSH (Managing Safely) or equivalent qualification.
• Working knowledge of PC-based computer systems.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver availability and reliability by investigating faults and incidents.
• Promote health, safety and environmental awareness on-site.
• Prioritise workload and resources to meet demand.
• Provide first line maintenance and fault diagnosis, escalate when needed.
• Support maintenance during projects and planned/reactive work.
• Contribute to site Health & Safety plan and objectives implementation.
• Liaise with client to maintain contractual obligations and good relations.
• Collaborate with site teams to achieve targets.

Here’s what you'll be doing

Location: Kemsley, Kent

12-hour shifts with 2 days, 2 nights, 6 off shift pattern.

Right now, we now have an exciting opportunity at our CHP plant in Kemsley. This flexible two-shifting plant has the capacity to generate up to 80MW of electricity and 200MW of heat. You’ll be part of the onsite team that ensures the smooth running of its day-to-day operation.

This is a busy role that will see you performing a wide range of tasks. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, environmentally compliant and efficient operation of the plant while meeting customers' requirements in accordance with contractual, environmental and operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering availability and reliability through investigations of fault conditions and incidents.
• Actively promoting a culture of health, safety and environmental awareness.
• Prioritising workload and resource.
• Providing first line maintenance and fault diagnosis, escalating to the maintenance team when required.
• Proactively supporting the maintenance team during technical projects and planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Contributing to developing the site Health & Safety plan and taking responsibility for implementing site objectives.
• Liaising with the client to ensure the site’s contractual obligations are maintained and a good working relationship is promoted.
• Supporting and working closely with other members of the site teams.

What we need from you

• Substantial relevant practical experience (Process, Electrical, C&I, Mechanical) within a similar role and/or process industry.
• Clear knowledge and understanding of safety and environmental management including operational polices, standards, frameworks and statutory legislation.
• IOSH (Managing Safely), or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a clear knowledge of safety practices and management.
• A working knowledge of key PC based computer systems.

It would be great if you had

• Achieved, or working towards, NVQ level 3 in Power Plant Operations, or equivalent qualification.
• Capability of enacting all defined roles within the Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) Safety Rules, achieving all nominations required within agreed timescales.
