Shift Operations Manager – Food Manufacturing

Doncaster area
Up to £65,000 + excellent benefits
Full-time | Shift-based | Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Operations Manager to join a high-growth food manufacturing business based near Doncaster. This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on leader looking to make a real impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

You will take full accountability for site operations, overseeing production, fulfilment and warehousing teams. Leading a team of up to 10 Team Leaders, you’ll ensure smooth operations, drive performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage daily operations across production and fulfilment facilities

* Lead, coach and support Team Leaders to achieve KPIs and targets

* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards

* Identify and resolve bottlenecks, promoting a continuous improvement mindset

* Maintain a safe, efficient, and audit-ready site at all times

* Drive employee engagement, development, and performance

Requirements:

* Strong experience in FMCG or food manufacturing at shift or ops manager level

* A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams

* In-depth knowledge of food safety, H&S legislation, and quality standards

* Experience with continuous improvement and change management

* A flexible, collaborative and hands-on leadership style

* Excellent communication and organisational skills
