Job summary

The Compleat Food Group is seeking a Shift Manager to lead our Clitheroe operations. This permanent, full-time role covers early shifts from 5:30am to 6pm, with a two-weekly pattern. You will drive production plans, coach teams, and ensure safety, quality and continuous improvement across the line.

You will collaborate with QA and cross-functional teams to maintain traceability, food safety and compliance while delivering on-time deliveries and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large operational teams in manufacturing.
• Strong focus on production performance and continuous improvement.
• Experience with QA, food safety, traceability and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead shop floor operations to deliver production plans on time, to quality standards and within labour targets.
• Drive operational performance through KPI management, including OEE, waste, labour efficiency, cost and non-conformance.
• Monitor production performance, investigate issues, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Ensure materials, resources and processes are in place to support efficient production.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimise performance and challenge standards.
• Lead regular team briefings to communicate performance, priorities and business updates.
• Collaborate with QA and cross-functional teams to maintain food safety, product quality, traceability and compliance.
• Support new product development (NPD) trials, operational reporting and factory improvement projects.
• Coach, motivate and develop teams, supporting Group Leaders and driving accountability.
