Job summary

The Compleat Food Group in Clitheroe is seeking an energetic Warehouse Team Leader to manage our chilled food operations. You will lead from the front, support Supervisors and the Warehouse Manager, and ensure safety, quality and performance across your area.

You’ll plan rotas, coach staff, use our Warehouse Management System, and contribute to audits and SOP compliance. The role requires previous leadership in a warehouse and a hands-on, proactive approach to daily challenges.

Qualifications

• Previous team leadership or people-management experience.
• Experience in warehouse operations and coordinating shift teams.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices in warehousing.
• Understanding of food safety principles and HACCP.
• Ability to communicate clearly and lead a team effectively.
• Experience with forklift operations (FLT Counterbalance).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of your warehouse area (Despatch, Goods In, Chiller, Ambient or Low Care).
• Lead, motivate and support your team throughout the shift.
• Plan weekly rotas for your department and allocate work.
• Coach and mentor colleagues to develop skills and confidence.
• Ensure training, safety procedures and SOP compliance are followed.
• Use the Warehouse Management System to support operations and maintain records.
