Job summary

DS Smith Featherstone is seeking a Shift Manager to lead the manufacturing operation, overseeing goods‑in to goods‑out, and driving safety, performance and continuous improvement on a 4 on 4 off pattern (2 x 12‑hour days, 2 x 12‑hour nights). The role requires strong leadership and the ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver KPI targets across Health & Safety, Quality, Waste, Productivity, Housekeeping, and Team Development.
• Coach, support, and develop team members to maximise capability and performance.
• Lead training and development activities across the department.
• Conduct incidents and accident investigations.

• Lead root cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
• Manage production processes to optimise efficiency whilst minimising waste and cost.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, quality, and customer service.

• Ensure compliance with all DS Smith standards and operating procedures.
