Job summary

DS Smith Europe in Livingston is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a production shift on a rotating schedule. You will drive safety, quality and productivity while developing a high-performing team through coaching, performance reviews and succession planning.

The role requires collaboration with Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality to achieve exceptional customer service, OTIF targets and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experienced in leading manufacturing shifts.
• Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop your shift team to deliver KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Lead daily shift start-ups, safety briefings and performance reviews with clear communication across the team.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Planning to maximise service levels and OTIF performance.
• Build relationships across DS Smith network to share best practices and improve performance.
• Manage, coach and support Team Leaders and production colleagues; conduct PDRs and succession planning.
