Job summary

Henderson Brown is seeking an experienced Shift Manager for a market-leading food manufacturer in the UK. You will take ownership of a busy production shift, lead a large team of around 55 operatives and technicians, and drive performance, safety and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with Engineering, Planning, Technical and Logistics, ensure food safety and quality standards, and deliver production plans safely and on time.

Qualifications

• Previous Shift Management experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience leading Team Leaders and large operational teams.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Quality and Food Safety.
• Experience improving performance, efficiency or productivity.
• A confident decision maker who enjoys developing people.
• IOSH or NEBOSH.
• HACCP or Food Safety qualifications.
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
• Experience within an automated manufacturing environment.

We're recruiting for a market-leading manufacturer supplying many of the UK's biggest retailers and brands. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a busy production shift, lead a large team and play a key role in driving performance, safety and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage Production Team Leaders and oversee a team of around 55 Operatives and Technicians. You'll be responsible for delivering production targets, developing your people and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality and operational performance.
