Humdinger is seeking an experienced and driven Shift Manager to join our team at the Bromborough site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in FMCG, people management, and continuous improvement to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment. As a Shift Manager at Humdinger, you will manage all aspects of your shift concerning performance, standards, health & safety, food safety & quality, continuous improvement, and people management.

Position type: Full time, permanent

Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday (no weekends)

Shift Pattern: 3-week rotating shifts (AM, PM, Nights)

Pay range: £44,211 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of around 30 operators and 2 Supervisors across processing and packing during your shift.
  2. Manage day-to-day operations including shift handovers, KPIs, and labour planning.
  3. Drive performance and ensure output targets and labour variances are met.
  4. Lead and deliver improvement projects to remove bottlenecks and boost efficiency.
  5. Promote a culture of continuous improvement using lean tools and methodologies.
  6. Champion high standards of GMP, food safety, and health & safety.
  7. Support the development and training of team members.
  8. Proven experience in a similar Shift Manager or Production Manager role.
  9. Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  10. Demonstrated success in delivering improvement projects and driving operational efficiency.
  11. CI/Lean Six Sigma training or experience (preferred).
  12. Background in FMCG or food manufacturing (preferred).
  13. A proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
