Job summary

Greggs plc in Sunderland is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a team and ensure exceptional customer service. You will look after the shop when the Manager isn’t around, motivate staff, and ensure the shop runs smoothly across in-store, delivery, Click+Collect and drive-thru channels.

The role focuses on delivering a brilliant customer experience, maintaining high standards, and preparing products while managing ovens and stock. Salary is hourly with a band increment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or shift-management role.
• Strong customer service and team leadership.
• Ability to motivate staff and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results and maintain the shop standards.
• Lead by example and serve customers in a fast and friendly manner.
• Prepare products, including making sandwiches and managing ovens.
• Ensure displays are stocked and the shop is clean and presentable.
• Support the manager and help run the shop smoothly during shifts.

As part of the management team,you’llbe responsible forlooking after the shop when the Managerisn’taround. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job.

We serve our customers acrossa number ofdifferent channels; in-shop, delivery,Click+Collect and drive thru.Y ou'lllead the way inmaking sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.

While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results andmaintainthe excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fullystocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
