Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Manager to lead from the front on busy shifts, manage the dining area, and ensure an outstanding guest experience. You will support the General Manager in delivering top-quality burgers and fries while maintaining a fun, high-energy work environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of management experience in a high-volume hospitality setting, a focus on customer satisfaction and profitability, and the ability to lead a team with energy and integrity on varied

Qualifications

• Experience: Ideally at least 1 year of management experience in a similar role within high-volume hospitality or QSR.
• Customer Satisfaction: Obsessed with guest experience and able to show improvements in satisfaction scores.
• Financial Responsibility: Understands profitable shift operations, breaks, waste, and staffing.
• Leadership: Hands-on leader who motivates and develops the crew.
• Operational Excellence: Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards.
• Flexibility: Available for varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays.

AS A SHIFT MANAGER, YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Our people - Leading from the front and being hands-on, working on the line and on the dining area
• Supporting the General Manager in the delivery of perfect burgers and fries while providing a above & beyond experience for your team and customers
• Creating an awesome working environment where people are happy to come to work and have fun while leading with our Values - Competitive, Enthusiastic, Family, Get It Done and Integrity
• Ensuring every customer is delighted with their order and their Five Guys experience - You will deal with complaints promptly in an open and honest way
• You will ensure that each shift runs as smoothly as possible and that our values form part of your shift management

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Experience: Ideally, you have at least 1 year of management experience in a similar role within a high-volume hospitality or QSR environment. You know what it takes to run a busy shift and keep the energy high.

Customer Satisfaction: You are obsessed with the guest experience and have the numbers to prove it. You have a track record of driving customer satisfaction scores, increasing engagement, and consistently delivering excellent Mystery Shopper results and positive reviews.

Financial Responsibility: You understand the basics of running a profitable shift, managing crew breaks, minimising food waste, and deploying the team effectively during the rush.

Leadership Skills: You are a natural motivator who enjoys being hands-on. You lead by example and know how to get the best out of the Crew during a busy service.

Operational Excellence: You have a good working knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards and know how to enforce them on the line.

Flexibility: You are available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
