Greggs Reading is hiring a Shift Manager to lead the shop when the Store Manager isn’t around, focusing on customer-first service and team motivation.

You will oversee day-to-day operations across in-shop, delivery, Click+Collect and drive thru channels, ensuring great experiences and high standards.

The role includes preparing products, stocking displays, keeping the store clean, and guiding the team to deliver fast, friendly service.

• Experience in a customer-focused retail environment.
• Proven leadership and team-motivation abilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

About the role

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first.

As part of the management team,you’llbe responsible forlooking after the shop when the Managerisn’taround. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job.

We serve our customers acrossa number ofdifferent channels; in-shop, delivery,Click+Collect and drive thru.Y ou'lllead the way inmaking sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.

While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results andmaintainthe excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fullystocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
• Keep the shop looking clean,tidyand presentable
