Job summary

Greggs in Peterborough is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a busy shop and ensure exceptional customer service across in-store, delivery, Click+Collect and online orders. You will supervise the team, motivate staff, and maintain high shop standards, even when the Manager isn’t present.

Responsibilities include preparing products, managing ovens, stocking displays, and keeping the shop clean and presentable. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment is desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on team motivation.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends.

• Inspire the team to maintain high standards and fast, friendly customer interactions.
• Prepare products, manage ovens, and ensure displays are stocked and presentable.
• Keep the shop clean, tidy and well-presented throughout the shift.

About the role

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first.

As part of the management team,you’llbe responsible forlooking after the shop when the Managerisn’taround. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job.

We serve our customers acrossa number ofdifferent channels; in-shop, delivery,Click+Collect and drive thru.Y ou'lllead the way inmaking sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.

While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results andmaintainthe excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fullystocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
• Keep the shop looking clean,tidyand presentable
