Job summary

Greggs in Birmingham is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a team and place customers first. You’ll be responsible for looking after the shop when the Store Manager isn’t around, and you will engage and motivate the team to deliver excellent results.

We operate a fast-paced environment with early starts, and you’ll help maintain shop standards, manage food prep, and ensure a brilliant customer experience both in-store and online.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising a team in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Reliable with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the team to maintain the shop's excellent standards.
• Lead by example and serve customers quickly and politely.
• Oversee food preparation, including sandwiches and oven management.
• Ensure displays are stocked and the shop is clean and presentable.

About the role

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first.

As part of the management team,you’llbe responsible forlooking after the shop when the Managerisn’taround. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job.

We serve our customers acrossa number ofdifferent channels; in-shop, delivery,Click+Collect and drive thru.Y ou'lllead the way inmaking sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.

While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results andmaintainthe excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fullystocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
• Keep the shop looking clean,tidyand presentable
